The Sisters of Mary arrived in Argentina in 1935.
In 1951, they established their headquarters in Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires Province. There, they dedicated the first Shrine of the Mother Thrice Admirable in Argentina, blessed by the Founder of Schoenstatt, Father Joseph Kentenich, on January 20, 1952. In alliance with Mary, the sisters carry out a broad apostolate in various areas, including service to the most vulnerable families. Since their arrival in Florencio Varela, they have assisted the needy in the area. In 2001, they opened the "Father's Family House." There, they began providing academic support, workshops, and primary healthcare. To expand and deepen their mission from a holistic perspective and with the support of an advisory team, La Nazarena was created. The center was inaugurated on the eve of the Solemnity of Saint Joseph in 2018. It celebrates its feast day every year on March 19. Saint Joseph, guardian of the Redeemer and husband of the Virgin Mary, is the patron saint of La Nazarena.
